CATCH ME Apps for Atrial Fibrillation

Two healthcare apps were developed by the CATCH ME consortium to improve treatment of atrial fibrillation (AF).

The apps inform about AF and its therapy, support the healthcare professional-patient relationship and thus improve treatment of AF patients.


  • The 'AF Manager' app is a state-of-the-art tool for healthcare professionals that uses integrated patient data to suggest treatment options from the ESC Clinical Practice Guidelines on Atrial Fibrillation 2016.
  • The ‘My AF’ patient app has been developed to enable the secure capture and transmission of the patient’s digital medical history, including an AF symptom diary, before each hospital visit. The app also informs about AF in general, with information produced in collaboration with the British Heart Foundation, the European Society of Cardiology and AF patients.
